The Missouri Botanical Garden has a new exhibit called Dinoquest where there are dinosaurs hidden throughout the gardens. Before his swim lessons and before it got "oh my god" hot, we took Dominic on a dino hunt.
At first we lost Dominic in the forest
But then his dad found him
They tried to blend in to attract some dinos
When a dinosaur arrived, Dominic wasn't afraid at all. He wanted to pet it and stick his fingers in its mouth. It made his dad so proud!

Being a good sport
I have to admit that our dog, Loki, hasn't been getting as much attention from me as he used to. Dominic would love to play with him more but with all of his climbing, pulling, slapping and general annoyances, Loki can only take so much. It's bad when the dog starts flinching around the baby, right?
P.S. That's what the floor looks like every single day with a curious baby on the prowl. I do pick up at night though and Loki helps vacuum up all the crumbs ; )

He practiced his kicking
His jumping
His floating on a noodle

Dominic meets Olivia
My great friend, Melinda, had her baby in May and last week Dominic got to meet baby Olivia. I think he really likes his new best friend. And speaking of best friends, mine is in the hospital right now delivering Dominic's other soon-to-be BFF. I'll finally have friends to go on playdates with!

These new Huggies diapers seemed a little strange......

Heart Walk 2010
Here is Dominic in his altered Heart Walk t-shirt. Perfect fit! As for the walk itself, only one person from my team showed up because it was really cold and rainy. They were all wimps and couldn't handle the weather.

Sewing
This Saturday is the Heart Walk which takes place in downtown St. Louis at Busch Stadium. Our work team got their t-shirts last week and they gave Dominic an adults size small shirt. I decided to try my hand at altering it to his size. Here is the big sewing reveal.
The before:

And the two together. Not too bad for an amateur that hasn't sewn anything in about a year.

5% completed
One of my day zero project goals- Fly a kite
I wasn't very good at it but I had my biggest fan to cheer me on.
And also, my 2nd biggest fan.

Why I love my husband
When I asked him to go steal tulips for me from our neighbors yard his reply was, "Right now?". That's true love....I'll let you know if he gets caught.

I'm 2% done with my Day Zero Project. I completed two tasks on the list, the first was to finish the list of 101 things and the second was to buy an SUV. Thinking of 101 things that I wanted to accomplish was a lot more difficult than I ever anticipated but after a few weeks of thinking, I finally typed them all out today.
On Saturday, we went test driving SUV's. We had narrowed it down to the Lexus RX, which was a completely luxurious ride with some amazing technology and the Audi Q5. It was a hard choice to make but considering the fact that everyone in St. Louis drives a Lexus we went with the Audi. The sunroof was what sold me on it. Here are the photos.

They call this a panoramic sunroof and it extends from the front seats all the way to the back. It has a sunshade that can cover the whole thing or just a portion. Dominic is a big fan of it too. I think he likes to stare out and watch the trees pass by. And speaking of the big boy, he can now stand up on his own. Well, not really, but he can support himself on various objects in the house, his favorite being the newly bought Bounty paper towels.
::Insert cute baby pic here:: ; )
And one more for the grandparents out there. He likes to go pantless and show off his gams, just so you know.

First tooth
Dominic's first tooth arrived about a week ago and it's a sharp little one. I think he's ready for corn on the cob.

Forest Park
I took a quick trip over to Forest Park today to take some photos for my online photography course and the little guy had to come with me. He wasn't so thrilled to spend time in the 35 degree weather so I quickly got my shots and carted him home but not until I snapped a few of him.
This is where he decided he had enough.
And these are my two submissions for my class. They were taken in the Tv creative mode, one shows frozen motion and the other shows movement. Nothing award winning but it got the job done, plus I had a screaming baby distracting me.
